Stamping / Artwork
Stamping is the one detail with options that are truly infinite. You can use any size of any font or any logo as a die that gets debossed into your portfolio, menu, or any other product. We can even stamp pre-made products that are not made in house – or pieces of products before they get assembled elsewhere.
The key to our stamping process is getting clean black and white art to our factory. If you are using one of our fonts, we will create the art and then send it for your approval. If it is custom art, then the options include sending us sized black and white art directly, or you can also email us a pdf file that is black and white and sized accordingly.
Once we have the art in house, we will make a magnesium die that gets used in our stamping machines along with any foil to add color. All magnesium dies are kept in our library for a minimum of 5 years so that we can replicate your design easily and efficiently on future orders.
The most popular colors to stamp are blind (no color), dull black, shiny black, dull gold, and shiny silver, but we have more than 200 colors available and we can use a foil that you provide as well. In addition, we have three grades of stamping pressure to achieve the best possible imprint. We have kiss (light stamp), normal stamp, and stamp deep depending on the artwork, the material and the desired effect.
Placement of the artwork on the product is accurate to 1/16" which is the industry standard. We typically recommend optical center (bottom of art is 1" above center line), on the center line, dead center (art is bisected by center line) or lower right corner (up 3/4" from bottom and in 3/4" from the right). However, we respect the wishes of our customers and will put the art wherever desired.
Stamping will almost always look better when performed before construction so it is almost always one of the first steps in production. However, we have learned from practice how to stamp products after they have been completed. When we are unsure how a design will look on a material – we will always recommend a stamp sample. We will try the stamp in a few colors on a swatch of the material to ensure a clean look.
Please feel free to contact our sales team with questions on stamping – often times our expertise can be helpful in choosing stamping styles, sizes and shapes.

Add jackets ordered (see jackets/sheet protectors). Prices exclude duties, taxes or delivery charges. Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars, F.O.B. New York City factory and are subject to change.
- The pricing above reflects materials that we typically "stock" as shown in this website. If, for example, you ask us to purchase a small amount of yardage of cloth that we do not stock, there will be a small up-charge to the prices on the tables above. Similarly if you want us to use a genuine leather that we do not "stock", there may be additional cost. These additional charges represent items we do not stock, higher additional acquisition costs and shipping. Increasing the quantity of items purchased help minimize same.
