Sheet Protectors
Sheet protectors (also known as jackets) or page protectors are an important part of every book, binder, and wine list presentation. These plastics will hold and protect your images and inserts. Furthermore, page protectors will keep fingerprints off of your expensive prints and give a unified look to your presentation. We offer 6 types of sheet protectors because we strive to give our customers choices and options. While we do have favorites among the choices, there are advantages and disadvantages to each page protector. Please feel free to contact our sales department to review the differences and to decide which sheet protectors will optimize your presentation. (Clicking the red description buttons below will provide brief description of pluses and minuses of each type protector).
An important thing to consider when choosing a sheet protector is whether it is archival – archival sheet protectors will not react with paper or ink. When a sheet protector is not archival there is a chance it may react. Another consideration is the durability of the sleeve – while all page protectors will need to be replaced eventually, some will withstand wear longer than others. Depending on use, we recommend changing sleeves at least every 6-12 months. We will always recommend archival jackets.
Three styles of our page protectors are sealed on 3 sides- only open on the top forming a pocket, while 3 others are open on the top and bottom. We rarely receive complaints of items falling out, but it is important to recognize the distinction. All of our protectors come with black paper inside, which may be removed for no charge or replaced with white fillers for an additional charge.
All of our sheet protectors are custom cut and punched to order in house, so we are able to offer speedy production and shipment of jacket orders. Almost all page protector orders are shipped within 24 hours of receipt. Need quality jackets cut and punched to your order quickly? Give us a call.

Polyester: This sheet protector receives our highest recommendation because it has the highest clarity. It is rated as museum quality and it is archival so it will not react with images or ink. This jacket has a little shine to it and ranks well for durability.
BC Lite: This sheet protector is also archival so it won't react with photos, this is a very durable polypropylene that does not scratch or pock-mark easily. It is also very resistent to tearing and the thinnest jacket. Its very light weight helps to reduce the overall presentation weight, especially when a large number of pages are involved.
Acetate: This was the industry standard back in the 80s when we invented the portfolio book and remains very popular today. However, this sheet protector scratches and pock-marks more easily and also tears more easily. Furthermore, this jacket is not archival and is actually constructed of a hard-finish PVC.

HG Vinyl: This is a textured PVC which means there is less shine and less glare. It is not archival so it may react with photos and tear sheets, but it is a durable jacket that does not scratch easily.
BC Vinyl: A smooth PVC, this sheet protector scratches more easily than HG Vinyl. However, it is more clear than the HG. It is not archival so it may react with ink and paper.
BC Lite Pocket: This page protector matches the durability of the bc lite archival jacket with the feature of being open only on the top. This product is very new so there are limited quantities and is only available in one size.
These three pocket sheet protector types are sealed on three sides and open only at the top. If any cutting is required, one or more sealed sides may become unsealed.

see jackets/sheet protectors). Prices exclude duties, taxes or delivery charges. Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars, F.O.B. New York City factory and are subject to change.
- The pricing above reflects materials that we typically "stock" as shown in this website. If, for example, you ask us to purchase a small amount of yardage of cloth that we do not stock, there will be a small up-charge to the prices on the tables above. Similarly if you want us to use a genuine leather that we do not "stock", there may be additional cost. These additional charges represent items we do not stock, higher additional acquisition costs and shipping. Increasing the quantity of items purchased help minimize same.
